First delivery within 10 business days after discovery and receipt of complete inputs. Implementation, integrations, and expanded assessment are quoted separately.

Engagement details

Engagement overview

Repeated questions, manual handoffs, workarounds, and disconnected records can make routine work depend on repeated human intervention. This engagement examines one recurring operating problem, identifies why it persists, and defines what needs to change.

We review real examples of the work, the evidence available to the team, how decisions are made, and where responsibility or information breaks down. You receive a practical operating design, three prioritized interventions, and measures for assessing whether the changes help.

Optimize the trusted stack before introducing another one. We consider clearer processes, decision rights, handoffs, and better use of existing systems before recommending another platform. AI is considered where the evidence supports its role.

Included scope

The entry engagement covers:

  • One recurring workflow within one team, involving up to three participating roles
  • One 60-minute discovery session
  • Review of up to 10 supplied documents totaling 50 pages
  • One walkthrough of the existing system used for the selected workflow
  • Assessment of information flow, handoffs, decision ownership, exceptions, and escalation
  • Three prioritized interventions
  • One 30-minute findings session
  • One consolidated revision within the agreed scope

What you receive

Current-state workflow map
A clear account of how the selected work moves, who participates, what information is needed, and where it pauses or returns.

Findings on recurring friction
An explanation of the underlying causes supported by the examples and records reviewed, with uncertainties identified.

Recommended operating design
A proposed way to organize the work, including responsibilities, information requirements, decision boundaries, and escalation.

Three prioritized interventions
A practical sequence based on expected value, effort, risk, readiness, and reversibility. Recommendations begin with the systems the business already trusts.

Outcome measures and learning record
Measures for evaluating the changes and a method for recording exceptions, results, and lessons from completed work.

Findings session and final package
A written summary, supporting materials, and a 30-minute discussion of the findings and next steps.

How the engagement works

  1. Define the problem. Select the recurring workflow, its consequences, and the outcome that matters.
  2. Examine the evidence. Review real examples, supplied records, existing systems, and the people involved.
  3. Diagnose the friction. Identify why repetition, delay, rework, or unnecessary escalation persists.
  4. Design the intervention. Define the operating change and retained human authority before selecting supporting tools.
  5. Prioritize action. Present three interventions and a practical implementation sequence.
  6. Prepare for learning. Define how the business will record outcomes and improve the design.

Delivery and revisions

Please confirm the start date before purchasing. In all cases, we confirm the engagement in writing before work begins.

First delivery is due within 10 business days after the discovery session and receipt of all agreed inputs, whichever occurs later. The delivery clock pauses while we await required client information, access, or responses.

Submit one consolidated revision request within five business days of delivery. We return the revision within three business days of receiving that feedback. The revision covers clarification and changes within the agreed workflow and source set. Additional workflows, new sources, or expanded requirements receive a separate quote.

What requires a separate scope

The entry engagement does not include:

  • Production automation, software development, or integrations
  • A whole-company operating-system installation
  • Additional workflows, teams, or expanded document review
  • Detailed recovery of founder judgment or a shadow-mode decision-loop pilot
  • Third-party software subscriptions
  • Ongoing implementation management or monitoring

Frequently asked questions

Does the $995 payment buy a complete system implementation?
It buys the defined entry assessment and operating-design package above. Build and implementation work require a separate written scope and quote.

Do I need to choose AI tools first?
No. We examine the problem and the existing stack before recommending tools.

Will every recommendation involve AI?
No. A clearer process, decision boundary, handoff, or better use of an existing system may be the appropriate intervention.

What do I need to provide?
An internal owner for the selected workflow, representative examples, the agreed documents, and access to a walkthrough of the current system. We confirm the intake requirements before work begins.

What happens afterward?
You may implement the recommendations internally or request a separate implementation scope. The delivered measures and learning record support evaluation as changes are put into practice.

Ownership and access

You own your business data, private operating intelligence, and client-specific working records and configurations created through the engagement. LIMINAL retains ownership of its methodology.

The agreed scope identifies delivery formats, handoff requirements, and any system access needed. You control and may revoke that access.

Who it is for

Founders, leadership teams, and service organizations whose work depends on repeated explanations, manual coordination, disconnected records, or recurring workarounds.

It is useful when the business can identify where work becomes difficult but needs evidence about why—and a practical intervention it can act on.

Related engagements

The problem determines the engagement.

If a recurring decision returns to the founder and requires detailed examination of judgment and authority, the Decision Return Diagnostic may be the more precise fit.

If fragmented records prevent a sound judgment, Evidence Intelligence may be appropriate.

If repeated customer questions are the defined problem and an assistant is justified, AI Chatbot Development may fit.

Each engagement can stand on its own.
